Day by Day

7 Days in Switzerland

"The paragliding day is the one everyone talks about afterward — soaring above two turquoise lakes with the Alps all around you."

Arrive in Zurich and transfer to your boutique accommodations in the city center during the group arrival window. Today is a soft landing — check in, explore the neighborhood, and take your first look at the city.

In the evening, gather for a welcome dinner and adventure briefing. Meet your group, go over the week ahead, and get ready for what's coming.

Included: Group arrival transfer window · Welcome dinner Not included: Airfare · Meals outside the welcome dinner · Airport transfers outside the group window

Today we head to Interlaken, Switzerland's adventure capital. The signature experience: a tandem paragliding flight over Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Certified pilots launch from Beatenberg and soar above the lakes and alpine peaks before landing in Interlaken — one of the most breathtaking perspectives in Europe.

Travelers who prefer to stay grounded may choose a scenic alternative during flight time. The rest of the day is yours to explore Interlaken's main street, grab lunch, and take in the mountain views before returning to Zurich.

Included: Transportation · Tandem paragliding experience · Safety equipment Not included: Lunch · Optional ground activities

Today we explore one of Switzerland's most breathtaking valleys. Lauterbrunnen is home to dramatic cliffs, 72 waterfalls, and the kind of scenery that makes you stop mid-sentence.

The itinerary includes scenic walking trails, Staubbach Falls, charming cafés, and free time to enjoy the village at your own pace. This is a guided valley exploration — structured enough to see the highlights, open enough to breathe.

Included: Transportation · Guided valley exploration · Free time Not included: Lunch · Personal purchases

Today is packed with optional mountain thrills. We journey to Grindelwald First, where the activities are yours to choose: the First Cliff Walk, Mountain Cart, Trottibike Scooter, First Flyer Zip Line, First Glider, or scenic hiking with views of the Eiger.

This flexible day lets everyone customize their own adventure level — go full throttle or take the scenic route. The mountain access and transportation are included; individual adventure rides are purchased on-site.

Included: Transportation · Grindelwald mountain access Optional (purchased individually): First Flyer zip line · First Glider · Mountain Cart · Trottibike · Cliff Walk

After several active days, today's pace slows slightly. Enjoy a scenic cruise across the turquoise waters of Lake Brienz — one of the most vividly colored lakes in Europe, fed by glacial meltwater from the Bernese Alps.

After the cruise, free time to explore lakeside villages, cafés, and mountain scenery. Travelers may also choose kayaking, paddleboarding, or lakeside relaxation.

Included: Lake Brienz cruise Optional (not included): Kayak rentals · Paddleboarding · Spa

Today offers two experiences depending on each traveler's preference.

Option 1 (Add-On): Jungfraujoch — Top of Europe. Travel to Europe's highest railway station at 3,454 meters with panoramic glacier views of the Aletsch Glacier and the surrounding peaks. This excursion is offered as a premium add-on due to cost — inquire at booking.

Option 2: Explore Zurich's Old Town with shopping, cafés, chocolate boutiques, and riverside walks along the Limmat. The city is beautiful in June — long evenings, warm light, and a pace that feels earned after a week in the mountains.

Everyone reunites in the evening for the farewell dinner.

Included: Farewell dinner Optional (add-on): Jungfraujoch excursion

Transfer to Zurich Airport during the scheduled group departure window. One last Swiss breakfast, one last look at the Alps, and a group chat that will outlast the trip.

Questions & Answers

"June in the Swiss Alps is one of the best times to visit — long days, warm valleys, and snow still on the peaks."

Still have questions?

No prior adventure experience is required. Tandem paragliding is guided by certified pilots — you don't need to know how to fly. The Grindelwald First activities range from scenic hiking to zip lines, so you can choose your own level. The Lauterbrunnen valley walk is accessible to anyone who can walk comfortably. That said, this trip is designed for travelers who are physically active and open to trying new things.

This trip requires 8 paid travelers to operate at the planned price and experience level. Major non-refundable supplier commitments will not be fully confirmed until the trip minimum has been met or a contingency plan is in place. If the minimum is not met, Vacay With Friends may revise the itinerary, adjust pricing, offer a trip credit, or cancel the trip and refund eligible payments according to supplier terms.

The $750 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Cancellations before January 14, 2027 may have additional payments refunded less supplier penalties and unrecoverable costs. Cancellations January 15–April 13, 2027 may have up to 50% of payments made non-refundable depending on supplier terms and replacement traveler availability. Cancellations on or after April 14, 2027 are fully non-refundable.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for every traveler. Because this trip includes adventure activities like paragliding, you should verify that your policy covers those activities specifically. Look for coverage that includes trip cancellation, trip interruption, emergency medical coverage abroad, travel delay, baggage protection, and emergency evacuation. Cancel For Any Reason coverage is worth considering when available.

June in the Swiss Alps is one of the best times to visit — long days, warm temperatures in the valleys, and snow still visible on the high peaks. Expect highs of 20–25°C (68–77°F) in Interlaken and Zurich, with cooler temperatures at altitude. Pack layers for mountain days and comfortable walking shoes. Rain is possible, so a light waterproof jacket is recommended.

The tandem paragliding experience includes a certified pilot, all safety equipment, and the flight itself — launching from Beatenberg above Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and landing in Interlaken. Transportation to and from the launch site is included. The experience is similar to Viator's Tandem Paragliding Experience from Interlaken. The final vendor will be confirmed closer to the trip date.

Jungfraujoch is Europe's highest railway station at 3,454 meters, offering panoramic views of the Aletsch Glacier and the surrounding peaks. It's one of Switzerland's most iconic experiences — and one of its most expensive. Because the excursion cost is significant, we offer it as a premium add-on rather than including it in the base package, so travelers can choose whether it's right for them.
